Indonesia says it is prepared to take part in a United Nations led peacekeeping force in Afghanistan should one be set up.
A foreign ministry spokesman told reporters Indonesia would warmly welcome the establishment of a peacekeeping operation in Afghanistan and will be ready to participate if asked to join.
The spokesman did not speculate as to how many Indonesians would be assigned to such a force.
Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim nation.
