A Kuwaiti teenager taken prisoner during fighting in Afghanistan was returned to his home in Kuwait Friday.
Sixteen-year-old Mohammed al-Enezi was wounded in the U-S bombing of the Tora Bora cave complex in eastern Afghanistan. The boy's father, who took him to Afghanistan last October, was killed.
The boy's presence in Afghanistan became publicized after the Qatar-based al-Jazeera television channel showed film clips of him at Tora Bora recovering from his wounds.
The boy's uncle said his brother and nephew went to Afghanistan to do charity work.
The Kuwaiti government has said that Kuwaitis who traveled to Afghanistan before or after the September terror attacks in the United States are welcome to return home but will be held accountable for their actions.
