WFP Appeals for More Food Aid - 2002-06-26

The World Food Program is appealing for funds to help avoid a crisis in Afghanistan in the coming months.

The agency says it still needs more than 100-million dollars worth of food for Afghanistan. W-F-P Director James Morris says without that food, Afghans could face malnutrition and starvation, especially in the highlands.

The World Food Program has cut programs over the past two months to deal with the shortage.
