In a taped interview broadcast today (Saturday) terror suspect Osama bin Laden has accused the United Nations of becoming "a tool of crime against Muslims."
Qatar's Al-Jazeera television channel carried the interview, in which the Saudi militant denounced the U-N and said Arab leaders, who cooperate with the world body, are infidels.
In excerpts broadcast later, Osama bin Laden called U-N Secretary General Kofi Annan a criminal and said Muslims who support President Bush have renounced their religion. He described the current conflict as a religious war pitting Christians against Muslims.
Al Jazeera said the interview was new but did not say when it was filmed or how the tape was received.
