Pakistan has issued a public appeal for help in finding al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and 17 of his associates.
A news release carried Sunday in at least one Urdu language daily newspaper offers prospective informants confidentiality but no reward.
The statement also quotes verses from the Islamic holy book -- the Koran -- which condemn terrorist acts.
The release does not say whether authorities believe Osama bin Laden or the others are in Pakistan.
